I love the Galesville Public Library! Part of the Winding Rivers Library System and located in Trempealeau County, this small town library is a jewel to many people and is a treasure to the community. I first contacted this library and met Wina Mortenson, who is one of the staff working there. Over the years, we have bonded in a unique friendship and I have a heart-warming relationship with the library. During these past years, I have joined in on various programming including summer reading and have received cool items in the mail. One of the most touching moments I had with this library was when Wina sent me 4 various apple varieties from a local orchard. Galesville is known for apples and she sent me these apples as a way for me to get to know more about the town and community. In addition, I have received many items that represent the area as well.
As a thank you for allowing me to be a virtual library patron, I donated origami paper for a library program that they were going to have. Wina mentioned that they needed origami paper for a craft program. I wholeheartedly went online to Michaels and ordered 2 packs to be delivered to them. The library staff were so touched by my generosity. I am very glad to support this library and the community. I look forward to being a part of Galesville virtually and hope to be involved in many future programming with them.
