Hello everyone! Today, I would like to share my transformation story of how an incredible church in America turned me into a new person. Liquid Church, a church in Parsippany, New Jersey came into my life in 2024. Upon my online searching, I randomly stumbled upon this incredible church that opened my eyes to a new world and made me view my life and understand God in a new perspective. My home church in California, CenterPoint Church Murrieta is a great church that I assist as an online host every Sunday for the 11AM service. CenterPoint is approximately a 90 minute drive in heavy traffic and I have only been down there in person once.
In 2024, I was online one day searching for an online church community that would view me and accept me as someone with cerebral palsy. While randomly scrolling down the page of Google results, a link to a church called Liquid Church caught my attention. Upon clicking on the link, I was directed to a page that made me speechless. The website homepage was so tremendous with such amazing graphics and attractive design. Going through the website, I couldn’t believe what Liquid Church offered to its attendees and even the people online. I actually burst into tears upon stumbling upon this unbelievable church community. I was so disappointed that Liquid Church was located in New Jersey. I decided to reach out to Cuyler Black who was the pastor in charge of online communities. It was such a blessing to hear back from him. He directed me to Brian Kern, who has become one of my best friends, and was in charge of the young adult group. I joined in virtually and met all the people present in the group one Thursday. Since that first meeting, I felt so moved by Brian’s group. I couldn’t believe that being a part of this community would be such a blessing to me.
Since my first contact with Pastor Cuyler, Liquid Church has opened my eyes into a new perspective where I view my life differently and how God has been in a part of my life since my birth. I am very grateful for being able to find this church community and being able to feel welcomed and loved virtually. I am also very proud to be a virtual member of The Porch, the young adult ministry at Liquid Church. I hope to be able to visit New Jersey and experience this church community in person one day. Thank you, Liquid Church, for blessing me into your loving community and accepting me despite not being local and also having a physical disability as well. A huge wave of gratitude goes out to Pastor Cuyler, Brian Kern, and all the people at Liquid Church for transforming me into someone new. Congratulations on being my number 1 favorite church in America. Regardless if you are in New Jersey or California, you will always be a part of me Liquid Church! God bless you today!
